Researchers have discovered that mealworms can break down
plastics naturally without building up harmful chemicals within their
body. Studies have been done and reveals that mealworms degrade
the fragments and release the rest as carbon dioxide. The worms
showed no signs of health problems and were shown to be as
healthy as the control group.

It is good to see that so many companies are already using the seaweed
plastics. Now I don't have to feel guilty about throwing out all of those plastic
bags from the items I order.

happens if the fungus were to escape the lab. Am I going to have to worry
about my plastic tupperware being eaten?
